H.264 BP Decoder on Cortex-A8 optimized using NEON Instructions

Tatvik's H.264 Baseline Profile Decoder has been optimized using NEON technology of ARM Cortex-A8 CPU. The use of NEON SIMD gives significant gain in performance of the decoder. The decoder can achieve 30 FPS decoding of VGA 1 mbps H.264 streams on Cortex-A8 based iPhone 3GS using 230 MHz to 320 MHz of the CPU, which leaves a lot of CPU headroom for applications and other components. Combined with Tatvik's high performance H.264 Encoder, the decoder can be used for video conferencing application on Mobile Devices. Also, it can be used for multimedia playback and lot of other applications on Mobile devices and handhelds.
