Actions Semiconductor to License Its Power Meter Technology

ZHUHAI, China -- March 23, 2006 -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd., one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies that provides comprehensive, mixed-signal, system-on-a-chip and multimedia digital signal processing (DSP) solutions for portable consumer electronics, today announced that it will adopt a business licensing model for its power meter product line.

The power meter business unit of Actions was established in 2002, and currently accounts for a small percentage of total revenue. This new licensing model should enable the Company to better focus its efforts on the Company's core business of system-on-a-chip ICs and solutions for the portable consumer electronics market. Actions will license its power meter related technology to a technology partner in exchange for royalty fees.
