Numetrics Taps Veteran Software Executive as VP Engineering
Yee Gan to Direct Technology Innovation as R&D Productivity Software Company Expands Into New Markets
CUPERTINO, Calif.-- February 09, 2010 --Numetrics Management Systems Inc., which provides a suite of enterprise software tools tailored to the unique needs of system and semiconductor product-development organizations, announced today that Yee Gan has been named vice president of engineering for the global company. Mr. Gan, who has 15 years of experience in both startups and established software companies, will report to Ronald E. Collett, CEO and co-founder of Numetrics.
Mr. Gan has a track record of leading high-performance engineering teams at companies such as Sun Microsystems and Oracle and delivering world-class products in several industries, including the pharmaceutical and financial industries. At Sun, he held various roles including product strategy, product management and engineering leadership. He spearheaded the standardization of portal servers by initiating the Java portlet specification.
“Numetrics has grown in the past decade by delivering vital R&D productivity solutions targeted to semiconductor product-development organizations, including seven of the top 15 global IC vendors,” Mr. Collett said. “Now we’re building on that success and are poised for rapid expansion into new markets with new applications. Yee brings the experience and management capability to help us scale our capabilities quickly and smoothly.”
Mr. Gan will oversee Numetrics’ experienced development teams in Cupertino and around the world.

Mr. Gan earned a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering with highest honors from University of Texas at Arlington, and he holds a master's degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology. He also has a joint MBA from University of California, Berkeley, and Columbia University.
