Arasan Chip Systems Appoints Senior Director Digital Design
San Jose, California – July 18, 2011 –Arasan Chip Systems, Inc.(“Arasan”), a leading provider of Total Semiconductor IP Solutions, announced the appointment of Mr. Chari Santhanam as Senior Director Digital Design. Mr. Santhanam has 20+ years expertise in the Semiconductor IP industry, and has extensive experience developing leading-edge USB IP.
“We are very excited to have Chari on board to build up our global engineering team.” said Vice President of Engineering, Prakash Kamath. “Chari’s extensive experience in IP Core methodology, process and quality management will be a great asset to Arasan Chip Systems, as we continue to introduce new products to the market.”
In his new role, Chari will lead the development of system-on-chip (SoC) digital Intellectual Property (IP) solutions. His responsibilities will include the oversight of global development teams and support of the increasing number of worldwide customers in the market for mobile storage and connectivity.

Chari most recently served as Director of Engineering at Synopsys responsible for Digital IP Cores for 15+ years. Mr. Santhanam holds a BS in Physics from Fergusson College in Pune, India and a BSEE from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
