Ittiam Systems demonstrates its third generation H.265/HEVC products at IBC 2014
Will showcase Live 4K/UHD, 422 12 bit codecs and other advancements at its Booth in Hall 1.F27
Bangalore –September 11, 2014 -- Ittiam Systems, an industry leader in licensing H.265 (HEVC) products, will showcase its third generation of H.265/HEVC encoders and decoders at IBC 2014. Key demonstrations will include codecs with 422 12-bit range extensions announced last month and the addition of Live 4K/UHD support to its GPU accelerated H.265/HEVC encoder SDK. Ittiam is also partnering with EBU (European Broadcast Union) to showcase live transcoding and streaming of H.265 content using MPEG-DASH at the EBU booth in Hall 10.F20.

Dr. Sriram Sethuraman, Ittiam Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, quoted, “With the 3rd generation products, our H.265 encoder offerings have become more comprehensive in toolset coverage, faster and lower power without losing quality, and, field hardened with stream analyzers, quality analyzers, and customer content”.
Ittiam will also showcase the latest version of its HD live encoding system SDK on 4th generation Intel Core i7 platforms (Haswell architecture). Recent updates to Ittiam’s cloud transcoding SaaS (FarmOTT) shall be demonstrated with live and VoD content playback on Ittiam’s MPEG-DASH player SDK (vividPlay) for Android and iOS with Ittiam’s H.265/HEVC decoder.
