InterDigital Signs ModeLabs to Worldwide 2G and 3G Patent License Agreement (Tuesday Dec. 30, 2008)
InterDigital today announced that its patent licensing subsidiaries have signed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing patent license agreement with Paris-based ModeLabs Group. The agreement covers the sale of certain wireless terminal units and infrastructure built to the Second Generation (2G and 2.5G) and/or Third Generation (3G) cellular standards and/or the non-cellular wireless IEEE 802-based standards, for the duration of the life of the licensed patents.

MIPS Technologies Licenses Analog / Mixed-Signal IP to Socle Technology (Thursday Dec. 18, 2008)
MIPS today announced that Socle Technology licensed its USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG) PHY and Controller in multiple processes. The cores, in 65nm processes from Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, are integrated in Socle’s platforms for customer designs in a range of markets.

COMAG Enters into MPEG LA's MPEG-2 License (Friday Dec. 12, 2008)
MPEG LA today announced that COMAG has entered into the MPEG-2 Patent Portfolio License offered by MPEG LA. Anoto Group AB's subsidiary, Logipard, signs another contract for video technology (Friday Dec. 12, 2008)
The contract concerns development of IP blocks for mobile phones and is estimated to generate NRE revenues of approximately 7 MSEK during 2009, as well as future royalty. The royalty payments are estimated to start late 2010.
