Request Description

Functionality

• The PCM block support up to 16 narrowband or eight wideband channels.
• The PCM block shall support Master and Slave capable direct audio TX/RX interface to SLIC for narrow and wideband voice support.
• The PCM block shall support wide range of vendor SLID and CODEC interfaces/SW.
• The PCM block shall support byte reversing formats.
• The PCM block shall support both narrow and wideband CODEC interfaces.
• The PCM block shall support descriptor-based TX & RX with high-priority queueing schemes to ensure no voice communication loses.
• The PCM block shall use a Synchronous Serial Peripheral (SSP) interface to connect to external SLIC/SLAC devices.
• In some systems, the PCM/Voice driver may be a DECT system as a master or in others it is a direct SLIC/SLAC interface with a slave.
• The SSP interface shall support up to 16-channles of data and shall support both master and slave modes of operation.
• The SSP interface shall have: SSP_CLK (clock), SSP_RXD (data in), SSP_TXD (data out), SSP_FSC (audio frame), SSP_EXTSCLK (external clock sync) and SSP_EXTCLK (external clock) signals.
